Assignment
Module
- Assignments can be specified with a
due date and a maximum grade.
- Adaptive
Navigation: Students can move
through aMentor
content using global, hierarchical, or sequential navigation tools.
Navigation elements can be displayed as text, icons, or both text and
icons, and they can be hidden to simplify the environment.
- Students can upload their assignments in
any file format to the server and they are date-stamped.
- Late assignments are allowed, but
the amount of lateness is shown clearly to the Mentor.
- Mentor feedback is appended to
the
assignment page for each student,
and notification is mailed out.
- The Mentor
can choose to allow resubmission of assignments
Quiz
Module
- Mentors can define a pool of questions for
re-use in different quizzes.
- Questions can be stored in
categories for easy access and can be "published" to make them accessible
from any online course on the site.
- Quizzes are automatically graded,
and can be re-graded if questions are modified.
- Quizzes can have a limited time
window outside of which they are not available.
- At the Mentor's
option, quizzes can be attempted multiple times, and can show feedback and or correct
answers.
- Quiz questions and quiz answers can
be randomized to reduce cheating.
- Questions support multimedia
including flash animation, video and sound files.
- Questions can be imported from
external text files or just cut and paste.
- Attempts can be cumulative, if
desired, and finished over several sessions.
- Quiz Module Supports The Following

Forum
Module
- Different types of forums are
available, such as Mentor-only,
online course news, open-to-all, and one-thread-per-user.
- All postings have the
authors’ photo attached.
- Individual forums can be subscribed
to by each student so that copies
are forwarded via email, or the Mentor
can force subscription for all.
- Discussion threads can be easily
moved between forums by the Mentor.
- Attached images are shown in line.
- Work groups: When the
ACollab is installed on an aMentor
system, students can collaborate with others on course projects,
communicate as a group with the forums and chat, share resources using
their group library, schedule activities with the events calendar, and
work together on project documents through the drafting room. Exercises
or assignments can be submitted to the group leader, or course mentor.

Module
- A full Mentor
has full control over all settings for the online
course, including restricting other Mentors.

course activities include: Forums, Quizzes,
Resources, Surveys, Assignments, Chats and Workshops.
- Recent changes to the course since
the last login can be displayed on the aMentor home page - helps give sense of
community.
- Text entry areas can be edited
using an embedded editor.
- All grades for Forums, Quizzes and
Assignments can be viewed on one page, sent to our online grade book or
downloaded as a spreadsheet or text file.
- Full user logging and tracking -
activity reports for each student
are available with graphs and details about each module as well as a
detailed "story" of each student’s involvement
including postings on one page.
- Mail integration - copies of forum
posts, Mentor
feedback can be
mailed in HTML or plain text.
- Custom scales - Mentors
can define their own scales to be used for grading forums and
assignments.

courses can be packaged as
a single zip file using the Backup function. These
can be restored on any server.
